Material names alone do not tell the whole story. Canvas can be made from cotton, recycled fibres or synthetics, each with different impacts. Woven belts can use virgin or recycled yarns.
Our current woven range uses REPREVE performance fibre made from recycled plastic bottles. Each belt contains the equivalent of seven bottles according to our product specification, and we use recycled faux leather trims. We also donate 5% of profits from the belts to Ocean Generation.
We still think durability matters. A recycled material is more useful if the product is designed to stay in use. Sustainability should be considered alongside construction, care and how often you will genuinely wear the item.

Choose woven if you want maximum wardrobe versatility, a more refined casual look and, in an elasticated version, extra comfort. It is our preferred option for jeans, chinos, shorts and smart-casual clothing.
Choose canvas if you like a more rugged or utilitarian style, want a lightweight belt for very casual outfits, or regularly wear workwear and outdoor-inspired clothing.
